Project enquiries
APFN Consulting receives the details you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, project description, service interests, budget, and target date. This information is used to assess your enquiry, respond to you, and discuss a potential engagement. It is not used to subscribe you to marketing.
Storage & service providers
Enquiries are stored in a Cloudflare-hosted database and are accessible to authorised site administrators. When email notifications are enabled, an email provider delivers a notification to APFN containing a link to the private inbox. The notification does not include your name, email address, or project description. The website hosting and email services may process technical logs needed to operate their services.
Website measurement
With your permission, the site counts page views and enquiry link clicks on its five core public pages. It also records coarse traffic source, device and browser categories, and anonymous loading, interaction and layout stability measurements. Analytics do not store visitor or session identifiers, IP addresses, enquiry text, email addresses, query strings or full referring URLs. Contact form submission totals are operational records and do not depend on analytics consent. Infrastructure providers may retain their own operational logs.
Cookies & your choices
The first-party apfn_consent cookie remembers your analytics choice for 180 days, using SameSite=Lax and Secure on production HTTPS. It contains only a version and your choice. Administrator sign-in uses an essential Cloudflare Access cookie. Optional analytics start only after you accept them and stop when you select essential only. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent collection even when you have accepted. Use the Cookie settings button on any public page to change your choice. No advertising cookies are used.
Retention
The site provides a maintenance task to remove enquiries older than 12 months and aggregate website counters older than 13 months, and anonymous performance samples older than 90 days. These deletions depend on the maintenance task being scheduled by the site operator. Information needed for an active engagement or business records may be handled separately. Contact APFN if you would like to ask about an enquiry or request its deletion.
